Many of us try to lose weight, and many of us also naively believe that if we just do any old exercise the pounds should just fall off. It doesn’t work that way, as you have probably found out. There are some exercises that are much more effective for losing weight than others, so here is a list of the exercises you should be focussing on if you want to drop those pounds.
Walking is a great exercise for losing weight, as most people can do it and you can integrate it into your daily activities. Make sure you get yourself some comfortable walking shoes, as you can get very sore feet if you don’t. If you walk at a pace of around 4mph you will burn 5 to 7 calories a minute. So if you can just put your headphones on and go for a nice walk for 45 minutes or so a few times a week you will certainly burn off the pounds.
